Bipolar disorder means periodic changes between mania and depression in which the person may become extremely elated or extremely low. These include moderations of moods that Linda has mainly worked with in managing moods through medication that helps in preventing both manic and depressive moods. 

In Bipolar I disorder treatment is aimed at preventing recurrence and minimizing the severity and the duration of manic episodes while in Bipolar II disorder the treatment aims at the management of depressive episodes as well as hypomanic episodes. It is an extensive way for the patients to learn how to control their moods and to have a more stable frame of mind.
