About Us

At Serenity Family Psychiatry, we believe that mental health care should be personalized, compassionate, and accessible.

Led by Linda Mbang, a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN, PMHNP-BC), we offer holistic psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and adults. With over 8 years of experience and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, Linda specializes in treating mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, and more.

Linda also expressed interest in the best practice in psychiatry based on current research and patient-centered care where the patient’s need is fully understood to allow for more personalized care. Speaking both English and French fluently, Linda ensures patient multicultural acceptance and makes every patient embrace his or her cultural background.

Our approach integrates evidence-based treatments with a comprehensive patient-centered philosophy.

No matter if you deal with simple problems such as anxiety or depression or if you are experiencing more severe issues such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, Linda will do her best to help you with your healing.

At Serenity Family Psychiatry, our primary purpose is to provide the setting for understanding individuals with various mental illnesses, embracing each client, and presenting opportunities for proper and adequately comprehensive care. We value developing a patient base, trust, and encouraging people to take control of their lives.

At Serenity Family Psychiatry, we use psychotherapy to address a wide range of mental health conditions, from mild issues like stress and anxiety to severe conditions like depression, trauma, and personality disorders.

Generally, psychotherapy refers to “talk therapy,” which is a therapeutic approach used to treat mental health issues, emotional challenges, and behavioral problems through structured conversations with a trained therapist.
Psychotherapy can be conducted in different formats, including individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, or couples therapy. The approach, structure, and duration of therapy depend on the type of mental health issue being addressed and the individual’s unique needs. By talking openly about thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, individuals can gain insight into their problems, and improve their overall emotional well-being.
